A Florida witness near Coral Springs and Parkland reports watching two “big, orange balls of light” hovering one above the other that disappeared as cloud coverage moved in on January 23, 2011, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

No images or video were submitted with the MUFON report, which was filed on January 23, 2011. The witness did submit one illustration of what she was looking at.

“It wasn’t a balloon as it was light,” the witness stated. “It wasn’t being projected from the ground. They were huge, solid lights, not blinking so it wasn’t an airplane – those lights in the sky are small. These huge, orange balls of light were like the size as if you saw a hot air balloon in the sky at a close distance.”

Coral Springs is a city in Broward County, population 126,875.

Florida is a current UFO ALERT 3 rating, with a higher number of UFO sightings nationally. Florida had 32 UFO reports in December 2010, with only California reporting higher – at 45 cases.

FL, January 23, 2011 - 2 Big Orange Balls of Light. MUFON Case # 27497.

I was coming home from the store and turned West towards my house. That is when I saw the 2 BIG Orange balls of light. I knew immediately it wasn’t a plane. I kept saying to myself What is that? I never in my life thought I would post here or see a real UFO.

Well it was 2 Big Orange balls of light, not like a craft. It wasn’t a balloon as it was light. It wasn’t being projected from the ground. They were huge SOLID lights, not blinking so it wasn’t an airplane which those lights in the sky are small. These Huge orange balls of light were like the size as if you saw a hot air balloon in the sky at a close distance.

I had a camera in my purse but it had a dead battery. I kept trying to turn it on (cursing) because I wanted to take a good digital photo. My other phone I had left at work which would of been a poor camera quality as its a cheapie free phone. I immediately called my sister’s cellphone to tell her what I had seen but got her voicemail. I left a voicemail.

The objects where 1 right below the other. Verticle and just “floating” stationary in the air. That’s the thing they weren’t moving they just stood still for a few minutes and never pulsated, just solid orange globes. When the cloud cover went by, they were covered up and then they were gone.

I had called my sister because she lives near by and I wanted her to go outside as she lives further North and might see them. Its funny but I always watch movies where people stare at UFOs and I think idiot run in case something might beam you up or get you but there I stood, just staring. I couldn’t look away from it because I guess my mind was trying to process or figure out what it was.

There have been some other reports earlier in this month in the same county of similar description. honestly I was excited when I pulled in the garage and went to jump out to continue looking at it but at the same time scared it could of been threatening. If I had to give you an area of where it was, over NorthEast Coral Springs, FL or by Parkland, FL.

A California couple driving along westbound Covell Boulevard in Davis 1.5 miles east of Wildhorse Golf Course report a “dark, triangular object” with four lights per side under 200 feet in the air on January 14, 2011, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

They first noticed “white lights in a triangular formation outlining what appeared to be a dark, triangular object” as they passed a large open field.

“I don’t remember exactly how many lights, but I want to say four lights per side, including the corners – all white,” the husband stated. “One light was blinking about once per second – I think I recall the one blinking light to be the ‘leading’ light. It appeared to be 15-20 yards wide and was about 150 feet to 200 feet in the air. It was about 200 yards from us. It seemed to be flying at about 10-20 mph.”

The entire sighting lasted less than two minutes before the object was obstructed from view by local homes.

“I rolled down my window as we were passing it in the opposite direction and could not hear a sound over the ‘driving wind.’” 

No images or video were included with the MUFON report, which was filed on January 17, 2010.

California is a current UFO ALERT 3 rating, with a higher number of UFO sightings nationally. California had 45 UFO reports in December 2010, the highest reporting state in the nation.

CA, January 14, 2010 - triangle lights flying slowly in Davis California. MUFON Case # 27436.

I was driving along Covell Blvd West bound about 1.5miles East of Wildhorse Golf Course. There’s a large open field we were driving by and I saw white lights in a triangular formation outlining what appeared to be a dark triangular object.

I don’t remember exactly how many lights, but I want to say 4 lights per side, including the corners – all white. One light was blinking about once per second – I think recall the one blinking light to be the “leading” light. It appeared to be 15-20 yards wide and was about 150′ to 200′ in the air. It was about 200 yards from us. It seemed to be flying at about 10-20MPH.

I thought it was a small plane, but then noticed the triangular formation which caught my attention. I rolled down my window as we were passing it in the opposite direction and could not hear a sound over the “driving wind”. My wife saw it, but she was driving and we didn’t really discuss it, nor did I reveal to her how peculiar I thought it was. If I were driving by myself, I would have pulled over, but I was only able to watch it for a little less than 2 minutes until houses eventually blocked my view of it. 

I don’t mind MUFON contacting me by email if my event is of interest. I would like to know if anyone else in the area reported similar occurrences.

A Knoxville, Tennessee, witness followed and shot video of a low-flying and sometimes hovering triangle-shaped UFO while driving near Hardin Valley Elementary School about 7:20 a.m. on January 24, 2011, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

While traffic approaching the school was moving at about 45 mph, the witness said the object was traveling just slightly faster than the traffic.

“It was on the right of the cars and following the traffic,” the witness stated. “There was a whole file of cars in front of me and they were slowing down to look. I could not stop since the traffic was heavy and it is a 2 lane road. I had my camera in my hand since I never leave home without it. Here is where I am trying to describe the object to the best of my ability. It was triangular. It passed me and the underside looked like a typical plane shape from underneath but it was dark. The only thing with that is it was hovering.”

The witness noticed red, blue, and white lights blinking on the object’s tips and underneath.

“The lights were a lot brighter than helicopter lights, like those super bright LED lights they have now, except a thousand of those put together. The lights blinked in a similar pattern as those of a plane: 1-2, 1-2, 1-2-3 and repeat but the intervals were uneven.”

After dropping the son at school, the witness noticed that the object was hovering over a nearby grocery store.

“It was triangular, blinking and hovering. I could not see or hear chopper blades. The lights were too bright when they blinked to make out anything on the craft.. It was moving back and forth, not like a plane but like a fast helicopter, fluidly. It then zoomed off to the mountain ridge right by Cambpell station road and beyond. I followed it with my eyes and it was a the top of a mountain just hovering. Then I lost it with my eyes.”

The witness is disappointed in the video, as it only shows lights, and not the triangle shape. The video can be seen here. The MUFON report was filed on January 24, 2011.

Tennessee is a current UFO ALERT 5 rating, with a lower number of UFO sightings nationally. Tennessee had 7 UFO reports in December 2010, while California had 45, the highest reporting state in the nation.

TN, January 24, 2011 - while taking son to school triangle shaped object traveling besides traffic. Looked like plane but behaved like helicopter, triangle shaped. MUFON Case # 27498.

Today I left my house to take our son to school at Hardin Valley elementary in Knoxville Tennessee. After I turned right off Lovell road to Hardin valley road, I noticed something I THOUGHT was a helicopter going parallel to Hardin Valley Road. It was traveling slightly faster than traffic which was flowing about 45 mph since I could not keep up. I noticed right after I turned (about where the shell rocky top gas station is at and the new Mc Donalds. It was on the right of the cars and following the traffic. There was a whole file of cars in front of me and they were slowing down to look. I could not stop since the traffic was heavy and it is a 2 lane road. I had my camera in my hand since I never leave home without it. Here is where I am trying to describe the object to the best of my ability. It was triangular. It passed me and the underside looked like a typical plane shape from underneath but it was dark. The only thing with that is it was HOVERING> I know planes can’t fly so low next to traffic by power lines and just hover, they fly . I noticed lights blinking: red, blue, white on the tips and underneath. The lights were a lot brighter than helicopter lights, like those super bright LED lights they have now, except a thousand of those put together.THe lights blinked in a similar pattern as those of a plane: 1-2, 1-2, 1-2-3 and repeat but the intervals were uneven. 

As I pulled in to the drop off line at the school, i made a right off hardin valley and was able to grab my camera and start it up. At this time the object was over the Food city grocery store by the school and hovering over the parking lot. It was triangular, blinking and hovering. I could NOT see or hear chopper blades. The lights were too bright when they blinked to make out anything on the craft.. It was moving back and forth, not like a plane but like a fast helicopter, fluidly. It then zoomed off to the mountain ridge right by Cambpell station road and beyond. I followed it with my eyes and it was a the top of a mountain just hovering. Then I lost it with my eyes. 

I had to cut the camera off when I dropped off my son and then I lost the flying craft by the time I pulled out onto the main street. 

I downloaded the video and since it was night, i was disapointed to see that all it showed was lights and not the triangle shape that I saw. It was still partly dark out at 7:20 am and my camera is not super. What I saw was way more than was the movie shows. I think I messed up by zooming in. 

The bottom line is: I have seen lots of helicopters and when they search, they have their spotlights on. This is the only reason a chopper would be in a residential area. It certainly would not fly as low as power lines and street lights, when school is in. 

I called the knox county dispatch and asked if there might have been a call in the area for a knox county sheriff helicopter to be dispatched to a call. She asked me to hold on as she was checking on the calls from 7 am to 7 :30 in the Hardin Valley area and Hardin valley school area. She came back on the phone and told me that no, they were not called for emergency or anything else. 

I then asked her is the county helicopters got brighter lights. She said not, the only time the lights are bright is when the spotlight is on. She said they would not do training in that area at that time of day. They don’t usually go there to train anyhow. She said she will look into if a private citizen has a helicopter and was flying it because he should not have been flying it that low and in that area. She asked for my phone number and told me if anything else arises she will call. I said so there were no helicopters there? she said to me: not ours. 

There is not an airport in the area. The nearest one is Maryville. The craft did not have the usual search light had it been searching for a suspect. I just wish the video had been taken when it was following the cars on the main road, I was staring at the craft and could have gotten a better shot of it (maybe). It is just so hard to film anything at night it seems.

A native New Yorker now living in Russia sends us video he took January 15, 2011, over Moscow.

Seems as though the man, who claims he has had no interest in UFOs, was walking to his train station to go home, when he saw people staring into the sky – so he looked too.

What he was was some unusual lights overhead that could not be explained.

Here is his unedited posting on the YouTube page where he placed this video:

“Last night over Moscow, Jan 15th at 21:15 (09:15pm), there was a Unidentified Flying Object! NO JOKE! I whipped out my new Kodak pocket camera, to start video taping the end of what I managed to capture. I was not alone watching it. Thanks to the people standing and looking into the night partially cloudy sky, I only managed to record it at that point. There’s nothing special watching the clip, A floating dot, I understand. When I went to search for some news on youtube or the net, apparently there’s been UFO sightings for the past week in Moscow! Im a New Yorker in Moscow Russia. (sorry for the jibberish talk on the video, as you will hear, I wasnt standing alone, watching this… The object was flying from right to left, stop standing in mid sky, then flying again, and at the end it took off westward bound in the cloudy skies.”
