UFO ‘morphs’ into two lights reports Arizona witness

by Roger March

An Arizona witness reports an encounter on a lonely desert road with a red orb as close as six feet just west of Congress after midnight on May 19, 2010, according to February 5, 2011, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was three miles west of Congress when a light first thought to be a helicopter was spotted after pulling over and getting out of the vehicle.

“It was a red light intermittently beaming a brilliant, focused white light down to the ground as if to be looking for someone or something, and I thought what or who would be way out there, and why there were no strobe I.D. lights on the helicopter,” the witness stated.

The witness got back into the vehicle and continued to observe the light.

“Suddenly, what I thought was a helicopter flying at 500 feet was much smaller and much closer; in fact, it was now just on the other side of the road and was about 10 feet off the ground, hovering.”

The object appeared to be searching for something on the ground, and then “morphed” into two tiny red lights.

“Now as it approached my car, it suddenly morphed back into its former shape: a spherical orb about the size of a softball, bright red (DOT emergency red, like a tail-light). Was this military? Is this a living organism? Perhaps an alien probe? It was now six feet in front of my car, four feet off the ground, just hovering.”

The witness described the object.

“I noticed that although the red light emitted from this thing was very bright to my eyes, it wasn’t casting shadows and did not reflect from the surrounding bushes or from the polished surface of my hood. I could see the surface of this thing seemed to be fluid- like, and composed of what appeared to be millions of tiny dots of light swirling around very fast and was very hard for my eyes to focus on it. The perimeter seemed to fuzz out at the edges, like an aura or halo. The light seemed to be luminous rather than projected, and was not radiating any heat that I could feel.”

The witness considered getting out of the vehicle to investigate further, but fear set in.

“Suddenly, the orb started to move a little closer to me, and my curiosity was overcome by fear… I felt panic consume me and simultaneously engaged the engine and hit the lights. The orb reacted by backing away slightly. Illuminated by my headlights, I could plainly see that there were no mechanical parts or structure. I slammed the gearshift into drive, and floored it. I wanted to put as much distance between that thing and me as fast as possible. I warily glanced in the rear-view mirror and was horrified to realize that it was pursuing me down the road at 90 mph.”

The witness attempted to use a cell phone to call for help, but the phone service did not work. The witness eventually reached Congress and pulled over.

“For the next two or three hours, I watched odd lights moving through the dark moonless night. I found that my eyesight had been affected by looking at the orb, and I could not focus on any bright light source. Whatever I tried looking at seemed to move away into periphery. Needless to say, I stayed parked there and tried my best to go to sleep and forget about what I had seen.”

AZ, May 19, 2010 - Confronted and chased by a Softball size Red Orb. MUFON Case # 27685.

Encounter on a Lonely Desert Road

By [Witness name removed CMS/dr]

The beams of my headlights seemed to be chasing elusive shadows cast against the desert sage as I drove through the dark moonless night towards Congress, Arizona. Retired now, a gold prospector with the time to fulfill my quest for the big nugget, my thoughts then were of gold and only gold…that was about to change.

Just about midnight and just South of the middle of nowhere, I had stopped and pulled off the road to relieve myself and take a break from driving, and it was at this moment that I first saw what I thought to be a helicopter with a bright searchlight circling the area southwest of me.

Having served with the U.S.A.F., I have seen many types of aircraft, but this was something I had never seen before. It was a red light intermittently beaming a brilliant, focused white light down to the ground as if to be looking for someone or something, and I thought what or who would be way out there, and why there were no strobe I.D. lights on the helicopter.

I didn’t give it much more thought and got back in the car and grabbed a cigarette, lit up and gazed back towards the southwest. The chopper was now circling closer to me and although my window was down, there was no noise… and I thought that was really strange.

Suddenly, what I thought was a helicopter flying at 500 feet was much smaller and much closer; in fact, it was now just on the other side of the road and was about 10 feet off the ground, hovering. I flicked the cigarette out the window. I rubbed my eyes in disbelief. Am I hallucinating?

“What the ____ is that?” My heart beating fast and my mind spinning, I watched as the object as it moved through the sparse vegetation, stopping now and then to illuminate the ground beneath with its powerful beam of white light, and then it appeared to morph into two tiny red lights, like twin LED’s (light emitting diodes) and started to cross the road towards me.

Now as it approached my car, it suddenly morphed back into its former shape: a spherical orb about the size of a softball, bright red (DOT emergency red, like a tail-light). Was this military? Is this a living organism? Perhaps an alien probe? It was now six feet in front of my car, four feet off the ground, just hovering. What the ____is this thing??? Somehow, I don’t think it’s military…no stars, insignia or guns…(chuckle)

I noticed that although the red light emitted from this thing was very bright to my eyes, it wasn’t casting shadows and did not reflect from the surrounding bushes or from the polished surface of my hood. I could see the surface of this thing seemed to be fluid- like, and composed of what appeared to be millions of tiny dots of light swirling around very fast and was very hard for my eyes to focus on it. The perimeter seemed to fuzz out at the edges, like an aura or halo. The light seemed to be luminous rather than projected, and was not radiating any heat that I could feel.

It’s amazing what goes through your head when confronted with an un-known like this… a memory of Dr. XXXXXXX of S.E.T.I. explaining that most UFO sightings are mostly swamp gas or weather balloons…Hey Doc! Here’s one that will fit right up your telescope!

At this moment, I was toying with the idea of getting out of my car to approach the orb and try to communicate with it.

Suddenly, the orb started to move a little closer to me, and my curiosity was overcome by fear… I felt panic consume me and simultaneously engaged the engine and hit the lights. The orb reacted by backing away slightly. Illuminated by my headlights, I could plainly see that there were no mechanical parts or structure. I slammed the gearshift into drive, and floored it. I wanted to put as much distance between that thing and me as fast as possible. I warily glanced in the rear-view mirror and was horrified to realize that it was pursuing me down the road at 90 mph.

I grabbed my cell phone and hurriedly called 911. NO SERVICE. I started laughing out loud. Who the hell would believe me if I reported being chased by a hovering, glowing red softball? They would think I was drunk or stoned out of mind!

The little town of Congress had already rolled up the sidewalks and turned off the lights, and not a soul stirring…well, it was 1:00 a.m. Arizona time. I decided to park in a vacant lot near the Fire Station right off the main highway.

For the next two or three hours, I watched odd lights moving through the dark moonless night. I found that my eyesight had been affected by looking at the orb, and I could not focus on any bright light source. Whatever I tried looking at seemed to move away into periphery. Needless to say, I stayed parked there and tried my best to go to sleep and forget about what I had seen.

Later, when I arrived home in California a couple of days later, I also noticed that my eyesight had not only been temporarily affected, but it had improved to some extent, and now can read small print without the use of my reading glasses.

I have shared this story with a few friends, but I notice that their eyes glaze over and I realize that they don’t believe what I saw. If someone told me this story, I don’t think that I would believe it myself. All said, I swear that this report is absolutely true and accurate to the best of my knowledge.

Michigan witness reports UFO

A Michigan witness reports observing a bright, oval object over the Detroit River on February 3, 2011, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

“There were no navigation lights and I didn’t hear any engine noise,” the witness stated. “I also looked up to see if there were any stars visible and I couldn’t see any. The strange light didn’t move, it just sat there and was very white with a silver edge on the right side. I still thought it might be an airplane, but I knew that airplanes don’t typically fly over that early. It looked like a sphere, but I could see that it was somewhat oval.”

The witness decided to take a couple of images of the object.

“It seemed that the brightness obscured the actual shape, the clearest view was on the right side of the light. I was so sleepy that I decided to take a couple photos of it and get back in the bed.”

MI, February 3, 2011 - I saw a strange light in the sky and took a couple of photos of it. MUFON Case # 27647.

I live in a house on the Detroit river across from Winsor, Ontario. I woke up at about 7 am on the morning of 2/3/11. I got up to take the trash out to the end of the driveway. I went downstairs and took the trash out, it was still rather dark and very quiet outside. I came back upstairs to get back in the bed.

On my way past the windows that look out over the Detroit river, I noticed a very bright light in the sky. The light was on the Canadian side of the river. It was so bright that I stopped to watch it to see if it was an airplane coming from Winsor, Canada.

There were no navigation lights and I didn’t hear any engine noise. I also looked up to see if there were any stars visible and I couldn’t see any. The strange light didn’t move, it just sat there and was very white with a silver edge on the right side. I still thought it might be an airplane, but I knew that airplanes don’t typically fly over that early. It looked like a sphere, but I could see that it was somewhat oval.

It seemed that the brightness obscured the actual shape, the clearest view was on the right side of the light. I was so sleepy that I decided to take a couple photos of it and get back in the bed. After I got in the bed, I listened to see if I could hear or see (through the sky light) an airplane fly over the house, but I didn’t hear or see anything over the next few minutes. I went back to sleep. During the years that I’ve lived here, I’ve never seen any light like this in the sky during the morning hours. It didn’t flicker like a star and it didn’t fluctuate like an airplane light. This light was very still and extreemly bright. I don’t know what it was but, it’s bothered me ever since I saw it. I hope I never see it again!

Pennsylvania witness reports possible UFO-EBE in wooded area

February 2010 in the Connellsville area of Fayette County Pennsylvania, Mark Joyner reports that he was walking in a wooded area one evening near Connellsville when he saw a strange creature which he believes was some type of primate.

He described the creature as standing about three to four feet tall with black and white fur and a tail. The weight of the creature was estimated to be about 85 pounds.

The most outstanding feature was that the eyes of the creature appeared overly large and were pinkish-red in color. The creature was first observed bending down and looking through a fire pit.

After apparently being startled by the witness, the creature stood up, walked a short distance, and then ran up a tree. (Weird, an escaped primate or a miniature Bigfoot type hybrid?).

Tennessee witness reports UFO and EBE

leave a comment

by Roger Marsh

A Central Tennessee witness report of low flying, unidentified lights above rural farmland in April 2010, quickly turned into a Category 3 with a possible alien creature on the ground as investigators arrived May 6.

Chase Kloetzke will discuss details of this case on the web radio show, UFO Traffic Report, on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, 9 – 10:30 p.m. EST, with hosts Roger Marsh and Michael Rambacher.

Kloetzke will never forget her “one second” encounter in that cornfield.

Today Kloetzke is Deputy Chief Investigator and STAR Team Manager for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). She was originally assigned MUFON Case # 22904 that included details like “eight fireball things hovering over trees” and clusters of lights that included as many as 27 at one time.

The decision to move to the Tennessee site in May included witness reports that the lights were returning daily and that locals were actually chasing the UFOs.

MUFON’s STAR Team is organized to put investigators on the scene anywhere in the U.S. where possible trace evidence is available from UFO sightings. This encounter included multiple lights moving overhead, while electronic equipment was shut down from battery drain.

A Category 1 UFO sighting includes objects sighted under 500 feet. A Category 2 includes physical effects. A Category 3 reports beings observed. Kloetzke reported on this case in the January 2011 issue of the monthly MUFON Journal, a publication available to MUFON members as part of their annual membership. Subscriptions can be purchased in the MUFON Store at mufon.com.

Triangle UFO shines light on North Carolina witness from less than 100 metres

by Roger Marsh

A North Carolina witness reports watching a low flying triangle-shaped UFO that silently crossed the sky 300 feet away and shined a bright, white light on the vehicle about 8 p.m. on January 24, 2011, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

No town name was mentioned in the public portion of the MUFON report, which was filed on January 25. The witness states that the sighting occurred in a rural, residential area.

As the witness first stepped outside, an unusual sound was heard prior to the UFO sighting, as local dogs were barking.

“I realized I was hearing a fairly loud metallic scraping and ripping sound; very high pitched coming from the top of the closest hill,” the witness stated. “I could not see anything, but the sound persisted for approximately 30-45 seconds. At times the sound reached high pitch range close to a siren. It was very unidentifiable, eerie, and definitely bothering the dogs. When it stopped it was suddenly very quiet.”

The witness then got into a vehicle and began driving, and five minutes later noticed the triangle UFO in the sky, with white-blue lights at each of the three points.

“It appeared to be moving very smoothly, almost gliding across the valley. The area in which it was seen is a commercial strip with multi-story residential buildings and fairly populated with college students. I was completely enthralled by the UFO, and began to track its movement. ”

The witness stopped at a nearby hay field and got out of the vehicle.

“I watched it go behind a stand of trees near to the multi-story housing area. It was probably 300 feet away from me when it began to disappear. It was completely silent and appeared to surveying the area. It was on a straight line trajectory flying perpendicular to the ground.”

The witness returned to the vehicle and began to drive away, but then realized a beam of light from above was shining on the vehicle.

“t was not a bright white spotlight one would expect from helicopters. It was a soft light and it encompassed my vehicle for approximately 3-5 seconds. I stopped again got out and saw nothing. I feel as if I had been scanned by this light beam.”

NC, January 24, 2011 - Brief encounter at close range. MUFON Case # 27509.

Evening time around 8pm; I was leaving home to go to band practice. Outside home in rural residential area all of the neighborhood dogs were barking.

I realized I was hearing a fairly loud metallic scraping and ripping sound; very high pitched coming from the top of the closest hill. I could not see anythin, but the sound persisted for approx. 30-45 seconds. At times the sound reached high pitch range close to a siren. It was very unidentifiable, eiry, and definitely bothering the dogs. When it stopped it was suddenly very quiet.

I thought it was strange, but none the less got in my car, left my home, and began driving on a local hwy towards town ~40mph. Within five minutes of leaving home I saw a slow moving triangular shaped craft with three bluish white lights located on each of the apex points flying at tree top level across the highway.

I appeared to moving very smoothly, almost gliding across the valley. The area in which it was seen is a commercial strip with multi-story residential buildings and fairly populated with college students. I was completely enthralled by the UFO, and began to track its movement.

I followed it and ended up driving into a hayfield off the highway, stopped my car and got out. I watched it go behind a stand a tress near to the multi story housing area. It was probably 300′ away from me when it began to disappear. It was completely silent and appeared to surveying the area. It was on a straight line trajectory flying perpendicular to the ground.

It was not a helicopter because it would have made a loud noise; it was absolutely silent. I got back in my car, started it up and began to pull around back towards the highway when a light lit up my car from above. It was not a bright white spotlight one would expect from helicopters. It was a soft light and it encompassed my vehicle for approximately 3-5 seconds.

I stopped again got out and saw nothing. I feel as if I had been scanned by this light beam. Not sure why, but I do believe this to be the case. Later that evening I played the best music I have ever been able to play amazing my fellow musicians. Perhaps, the light interacted with my energic field and was able to raise my aural energies?

Two of the lights were on each side of the craft facing forward and one orange light was in the middle or nose area of the craft.”

The witness described the sound.

“The craft made a sound that was like high current electricity, a loud humming sound. The craft’s sound was like no sound that I have ever heard before from a man made flying machine.”

The craft was flying just 500 feet above the local roof tops.

“The forward velocity seemed to be approximately 60 mph.The craft was traveling in a straight orientation. I saw this flying craft for approximately three minutes. I lost sight of the object after it passed overhead and continued north. I could hear the low humming sound longer than I could see the flying craft.”

California witness thought UFOs were an ‘invasion’

A California witness reports observing a dozen white-orange UFOs described as 100 feet wide and 300 feet tall on November 27, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. ”She thought it was an invasion,” the MUFON field investigator stated, who submitted the report for the witness on February 2, 2011.

The witness described the shape of the objects.

“Each craft was surrounded on the periphery with 30 to 50 flickering white-orange lights, which outlined the shape of the craft,” according to the witness. “The shape of each craft reminded her of an upside-down coffee-mug.”

The silent objects moved in formation, then stopped and hovered.

“The craft moved in a formation pattern slowly circling, and some of them moved down towards a water pond nearby, while the rest remained in formation. She doesn’t know if any landed or not. There was a flash of white light, and the craft were then motionless, and just hovered. The craft were completely silent, no sound at all.”

The witness went inside to call her daughter in the hopes of gaining additional witnesses, but returning outside, the objects were gone.

No town name was mentioned in the public portion of the MUFON report. No video or images were included, but one illustration was include – which can be viewed here.

CA, November 27, 2010 - Dozen or more 300′ tall upside-down coffee-mug shaped UFOs with 20-50 white-orange lights surrounding each craft, which filled the sky. MUFON Case # 27600.

FIELD INVESTIGATOR #12885 IS SUBMITTING THIS REPORT FOR THE WITNESS.

The witness’s very large german-shepherd dog was very nervous after midnight some evening around Thanksgiving, November, 2010, so the witness let her dog outside on her patio at her home in Campo Seco, California. It was a very clear night, extremely dark out, no moon.

She witnessed several UFOs filling the sky, which scared her.

She thought it was an invasion!

There were a dozen or more craft, which were each approximately 300′ tall, and 100′ wide at the base. Each craft was surrounded on the periphery with 30 to 50 flickering white-orange lights, which outlined the shape of the craft. The shape of each craft reminded her of an upside-down coffee-mug.

They were extremely large, and were close to the ground (below aircraft height). The craft moved in a formation pattern slowly circling, and some of them moved down towards a water pond nearby, while the rest remained in formation. She doesn’t know if any landed or not. There was a flash of white light, and the craft were then motionless, and just hovered. The craft were completely silent, no sound at all.

Her dog was extremely nervous the whole time.

After 5 minutes of witnessing the formation from her patio, the witness went inside her house to call her daughter who lives nearby. Her daughter answered her phone and went outside to see if she could also see the craft. Her daughter returned to the phone to tell her mother that she could see nothing but a dark sky. The witness hung up and went back outside, but the craft had disappeared and were no longer there.

Per my request, the witness snail-mailed to me (FI# 12885) a sketch of what she saw, and I have attached that sketch to this report.

I also have a 16 minute 52 second digital recording of my telephone conversation with the witness on 1/28/2011, and a 35 minute digital recording of my conversation with the witness on 1/18/2011, which are not attached to this report, but which I will keep.

(The daughter of this witness also has submitted an earlier different UFO report #27109 was has been assigned to me, FI# 12885.)

Florida witness reports orange UFOs

by Roger Marsh

A Florida witness near Coral Springs and Parkland reports watching two “big, orange balls of light” hovering one above the other that disappeared as cloud coverage moved in on January 23, 2011, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

No images or video were submitted with the MUFON report, which was filed on January 23, 2011. The witness did submit one illustration of what she was looking at.

“It wasn’t a balloon as it was light,” the witness stated. “It wasn’t being projected from the ground. They were huge, solid lights, not blinking so it wasn’t an airplane – those lights in the sky are small. These huge, orange balls of light were like the size as if you saw a hot air balloon in the sky at a close distance.”

Coral Springs is a city in Broward County, population 126,875.

Florida is a current UFO ALERT 3 rating, with a higher number of UFO sightings nationally. Florida had 32 UFO reports in December 2010, with only California reporting higher – at 45 cases.

FL, January 23, 2011 - 2 Big Orange Balls of Light. MUFON Case # 27497.

I was coming home from the store and turned West towards my house. That is when I saw the 2 BIG Orange balls of light. I knew immediately it wasn’t a plane. I kept saying to myself What is that? I never in my life thought I would post here or see a real UFO.

Well it was 2 Big Orange balls of light, not like a craft. It wasn’t a balloon as it was light. It wasn’t being projected from the ground. They were huge SOLID lights, not blinking so it wasn’t an airplane which those lights in the sky are small. These Huge orange balls of light were like the size as if you saw a hot air balloon in the sky at a close distance.

I had a camera in my purse but it had a dead battery. I kept trying to turn it on (cursing) because I wanted to take a good digital photo. My other phone I had left at work which would of been a poor camera quality as its a cheapie free phone. I immediately called my sister’s cellphone to tell her what I had seen but got her voicemail. I left a voicemail.

The objects where 1 right below the other. Verticle and just “floating” stationary in the air. That’s the thing they weren’t moving they just stood still for a few minutes and never pulsated, just solid orange globes. When the cloud cover went by, they were covered up and then they were gone.

I had called my sister because she lives near by and I wanted her to go outside as she lives further North and might see them. Its funny but I always watch movies where people stare at UFOs and I think idiot run in case something might beam you up or get you but there I stood, just staring. I couldn’t look away from it because I guess my mind was trying to process or figure out what it was.

There have been some other reports earlier in this month in the same county of similar description. honestly I was excited when I pulled in the garage and went to jump out to continue looking at it but at the same time scared it could of been threatening. If I had to give you an area of where it was, over NorthEast Coral Springs, FL or by Parkland, FL.

by Roger Marsh

A California couple driving along westbound Covell Boulevard in Davis 1.5 miles east of Wildhorse Golf Course report a “dark, triangular object” with four lights per side under 200 feet in the air on January 14, 2011, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

They first noticed “white lights in a triangular formation outlining what appeared to be a dark, triangular object” as they passed a large open field.

“I don’t remember exactly how many lights, but I want to say four lights per side, including the corners – all white,” the husband stated. “One light was blinking about once per second – I think I recall the one blinking light to be the ‘leading’ light. It appeared to be 15-20 yards wide and was about 150 feet to 200 feet in the air. It was about 200 yards from us. It seemed to be flying at about 10-20 mph.”

The entire sighting lasted less than two minutes before the object was obstructed from view by local homes.

“I rolled down my window as we were passing it in the opposite direction and could not hear a sound over the ‘driving wind.’”

No images or video were included with the MUFON report, which was filed on January 17, 2010.

CA, January 14, 2010 - triangle lights flying slowly in Davis California. MUFON Case # 27436.

I was driving along Covell Blvd West bound about 1.5miles East of Wildhorse Golf Course. There’s a large open field we were driving by and I saw white lights in a triangular formation outlining what appeared to be a dark triangular object.

I don’t remember exactly how many lights, but I want to say 4 lights per side, including the corners – all white. One light was blinking about once per second – I think recall the one blinking light to be the “leading” light. It appeared to be 15-20 yards wide and was about 150′ to 200′ in the air. It was about 200 yards from us. It seemed to be flying at about 10-20MPH.

I thought it was a small plane, but then noticed the triangular formation which caught my attention. I rolled down my window as we were passing it in the opposite direction and could not hear a sound over the “driving wind”. My wife saw it, but she was driving and we didn’t really discuss it, nor did I reveal to her how peculiar I thought it was. If I were driving by myself, I would have pulled over, but I was only able to watch it for a little less than 2 minutes until houses eventually blocked my view of it.

I don’t mind MUFON contacting me by email if my event is of interest. I would like to know if anyone else in the area reported similar occurrences.
